Drawings from another time and place

Well, I thought now as a time better than any other to upload drawings from India. At this point in time I didnt have a PC to practice art with so I went to traditional mediums. Personaly I dont like much of it, but its practice and practice is worth recording, this blog is nothing but that after all. These are just sketches from the apartment in Pune which I stayed, I had a big A3 sketchbook i'd doodle in. Alot of it was real junk though, which says alot.

Adorable healing tree

Todays word was adorable combined with healing, and tree. There was alot more I could have done with this, but I only had like 15 minutes.
Also I noticed a re-occurring composition theme in these speed paints, I should go for more dynamic scenes, but when youre thinking " hurry hurry " its hard to think.

Crystal Convenient Coffin

Random word gen, pretty fun way but I always find myself going " Nope, nope, not cool, yeah thatll do". But trying to do something different whatever sparks an idea is good.
Composition wasnt that great for this one, no cleanup, still rough no after polish. Been feeling rather anti-polish of recent.

Some after office zbrush practice (i know its bad shup) and a speedpaint, its hard to work in hot conditions, I do miss the air conditioned office of the weekday.
I wanted the zombie hand to be kind of warn away at the wrists, doesnt really look as good as i was planning for.

Ragnarok RSX-0806

RSX-0806, I wanted to give him a normal map aswell, but there wasnt a whole lot of need, everything was quite visable in the diffuse. But still as soon as I got the emissive map in there it started to look really cool.
 Fully hand painted, thanks to the wonders of 3dsmax's viewport canvas and my fancy yet spammed photoshop brushes. Fun times!
For something which is just a rusty sphere, i like how it turned out.

Skeletonpop Speedpaint

Yeah pointy skeleton! Recently Ive been thinking, might be good to try to work out the forms of creatures in different ways. Everytime I try I just go to a painting style.
And thats cool because, damned as hell I love painting.
The pelvis in 2d is a bit of a paint though. What would have been smart would be to model it, render it than paint that from the referance.
But thatd be alot of effort for a speedpaint.

I dont get alod of time to relax and draw you know? I have to do all art related stuff at the office, which sounds fine, but they turn off the AC at 5, than it gets hot. You know sitting around all week from 8-8 in the same room will make anyone insane. So I avoid it naturaly, which means I dont paint and draw as much.
If I had a laptop or computer at home itd be alot different, but those are not the cards Ive been dealt.
Id render the crap out of this, but you get the idea.

RSX-0806 W.i.p

This guys been sitting in the back alleys of my work computer for the past 2 months. Untextured, no normals.
It still doesnt have normals. Think ill try texturing it first, get a nice difuse, than model acording to the texture in the high polly model to make the normal info. Could be a good test atleast. Better than just zbrushing it like a novice with no sub-groups.
