Longest upload ever

Well dispite it being dificult to draw and work on the computer, not to mention upload some bits (took half an hour to upload this, thats with the browser failing to respond that is), I've managed to upload atleast something.
In my time here Ive been reading Equal Rites by Terry Pratchett, coming up with ideas based on the characters and settings, seemed like a fun adventure.
Been designing a snowy mountine town called Bad Ass, a girl named Esk.
I liked how with esk I started mildly serious, than stoped caring and had fun, than didnt bother polishing the more realistic portraits, I was only playing with the hair designs anyway. :\
And an graphic of a prawn to show as an example to a friend, which than was asked to re-draw as a woodlouce, which didnt happen.

In terms of news, got an internship at Ubisoft, I'll be starting in 2 months, pretty sweet.

Crappy PC week

Stuck out here in Reading for a week and a bit with a crappy computer which wont let me upload pictures to any website or even view the main page of facebook (just comes up blank).
So no pictures untill the 18th It would seem (damn). Aint that a shame.
Also my hard drive broke. The important one, with all the important info on it.
Fuck.

Giant Pinching Mech!

I thought to myself today that you never really see the what makes Mechs, so I thought i'd make a mech for making mechs. Its got pinchy feet for climbing and pinchy pincers for pinching. OR something. When you watch cartoons you'd think all they'd need is a giant screw driver.

Thought I would have a go at speeding up my story boards, cutting out any unneccacary detailing and unimportant bits from the board, I think I get my point across with this, probably didnt need to shade it to save time.

A bear dragster!

My tutor seems to think I need a logo for my portfolio, I guess its a cool idea, but I dont think I as a person require a brand, Im no a chocolate bar.
Other than that, the solid "Tristan Silva." works best I think.

Water fountain mountain and ice

Had a cool idea (pun intended), of a water fountine mountain, in winter! So all the water fountines are frozen over and stuff. How bad ass would it be to walk on frozen water fountines? Dangerous for one.

Set myself a 30 minute time limit for this set, worked okay I guess, I need to keep practising my environments and mechanicals.

I've been sketching a bunch of cartoons of recent, just becaue I like their styles and methods, looking at pixar and stuff. I drew a kid in this being taken away by birds, but it didnt look as good in terms of composition.

I also thought I'd have a go at redesigning the Barbalootzuits(?) from The Lorax, they're depicted as bears, but I dont think they sound very bearlike.

Buildings and snails

Decided to do some more buildings, the idea being its a norse stronghold, sort of built into a hill.
