Painting around

 

I've been doing some small plein air painting/sketching, its something Ive wanted to get into for a while. So I've been working away at it when I get the chance.  These are quite small paintings, around A5 in size.

I had some laser eye treatment yesterday to mend some tearing in the back of my eye. Its good we were able to catch it early, could have lost an eye if left untreated.

I bought this 642 things to draw book some time last year in an airport on my way to America, or maybe it was on the way back. I usually take it with me when I travel long distances and think I'd get bored drawing people and things I see.
I usually pencil various pages in, trying to make jokes out of them if I can, then ink them in later when Im not in motion.

Ventricle Razor - The Binding of Isaac

 The Binding of Isaac was a great game, so I think some fan art is in order. 
Id recommend the game to anyone that wants something different. 

I'm currently in recovery from heart surgery. I think I got the bentall procedure, a little aorta fix here and a mechanical heart valve there. Although it seems like something serious, it really didnt feel like it. 

So I now make a constant ticking noise. Its kind of nice.

Where you been?

It's been some 6 years since I've posted on this blog. 

I've been avoiding it if anything. Forgotten passwords and email accounts being part of the issue. I think I like to keep my internet presence as minimal as possible. Which is why I havnt touched this blog, deviantart, facebook, linked in, twitter or any other website. I dont think I will touch them again, so all that information is very out dated.

It's a shame really, as Ive still been producing art, just not sharing it and this would have been a pretty in-depth record of all of that if I had kept with updating this blog. I have a tumblr, which Ive also been neglecting throughout the past 6 years, but have been posting various anime jazz on for fun.

So what have I been doing since? Working mostly, much sketch booking, posting art anonymously online, commissions, a small amount of 3D art but mostly 2D.
I've been working at an industrial company in their graphics design department.

Below are a bunch of random drawings produced for /ic/. Towergirl threads were pretty fun for random character drawing.

 I cant say if I will update this blog again, but it would be nice if I did.
